Susan Burrows Dabney's passion is the land - its beauty and bounty whether out in the bitter cold of the winter or the warmth and the rich colors of the fall. For me, the only way to paint such magnificence is o be set up outside with my easel with the vista in front of me ready to be painted.

"Plein air painting is magical, dangerous, thrilling, quiet, and always influenced by whatever weather comes through.
